Star Instructors Jason and Annmarie Marker Jason and Annmarie share a love for teaching, competing, judging and performing across the country.  They both adore West Coast Swing, and are passionate about sharing the love of the dance with others. Annmarie is known for her creative dance style and has placed top 3 on the NASDE J&J Tour (2006 & 2007), was the 2008 US Open J&J Champion, and placed 10th on the NASDE Tour (2009)for their Classic routine performances.  Jason is known for his smooth precision and recently placed top 3 on the NASDE J&J Tour for 2009.  Together they form a dynamic partnership on and off the dance floor and offer a true balance of technical and creative instruction for leaders and followers of all levels. Matt and Crystal Auclair Matt is a six time national dance champion.  He is the youngest ever to be inducted into the Dallas Dance Hall of Fame.  His wife Crystal also competes in the dance circuit and has many dance championship.  Both teach across the nation and the world.  They are so excited to be back again JasonAndSophy's event. Maren Oslac and Jeff Sanchez Maren has competed, taught and judged extensively across the U.S. for the past 10 years earning a top reputation in all three arenas.  Her husband Jeff, also an accomplished dancer, is best known for his teaching excellence.  The combination of these two is hard to match!  Maren and Jeff are excited to be a part of Jason and Sophy's Dance Party again! John Lindo John began dancing in 1992 with Country Western and line dancing. He quickly moved into West Coast Swing and garnered more than his share of awards and championships. Some of his First Place awards include the US Open, Grand Nationals, Phoenix Champions of Champions, and the North Atlantic All Star Division. He received the Entertainer of the Year award at the USA Grand Nationals in 2001. John currently resides in New Jersey and is a familiar and influential presence in the New York City West Coast Swing scene.  Mike Topel Mike's teaching style was developed from his martial arts background (where, as a second-degree black belt, he taught for five years), and his taste for improvisational theater. He utilizes the balance and physical control of the martial arts in competition and social dancing, and found that improvisation and musicality were his greatest strengths. Beata Howe A frequent visitor to Cincinnati, Beata is a trained dancer with a lifetime of dance experience.  She travels all over the country to teach, compete and judge.  In her spare time, she organizes dance cruises around the world and bake killer brownies.  Elegance and graceful is synonymous to her name.  If you're wondering where she is, just listen for the Beata-famous growl - YEEAAAHHHH!!!!!  Brian Barakauskas Brian has been dancing professionally for over 10 years. Through competitive country western and ballroom dancing he's been able to dance literally around the world as a competitor, judge and teacher. Dancing has taken him full circle.  Now, the owner of Dance Louisville, an independant studio with instructors from a broad range of dance styles. From Ballroom dance to Belly dance, Latin dance to Linedance you are likely to find it there.  Brian is an active competiting professional (sometimes even a successfull one) his main focus through his studio is to serve the dance community and you the dancer. Danelle Jacoby Danelle has been dancing most of her life. She studied jazz and tap as a child and took various classes in ballet, hip hop, bellydance, hula, Tahitian, burlesque and pole as an adult.  She began couples dancing in 1999 and has competed in many Swing and Country dance events acrsoss the US. She became certified to teach Zumba in 2006 and has taught classes in local gyms and dance studios ever since. Jason Miklic Jason travels all over the country teaching, competing, performing and judging in the West Coast Swing Circuit.  He's ranked among the top west coast swing dancers in the world and is known for his unique ability to illustrate techniques to give his students a better understanding of movements and to help them achieve their maximum dancing potential.
